OptTown

As Vice President, Sales, Amanda is responsible for adding both businesses and consumers to the OptTown network, and helping her fun & young team of Sales Reps do the same.

For three of her four years at Santa Clara University, Amanda served as a staff member for the orientation program, assisting freshmen and transfer students in adjusting to student life and learning about the school's history, resources, and mission.

Mixing her two favorite things: working with college students and spreading enthusiasm for something she is passionate about, Amanda had a blast launching OptTown at her beloved alma mater, Santa Clara University, and is ready to make things happen at other university communities worldwide!

Talents and passions include: USTA tennis, piano, dancing, singing, life-chatting, strange sound effects and faces, family dinners, and laughing.

As a Sales Representative for OptTown, Claudette works with businesses and consumers to add them to the OptTown network.

For the past three years at SCU, Claudette has been a part of the SCU Campus Recreation staff and is currently the Marketing Coordinator. She also served as the Event Chairman and Vice President of Standards for her sorority.

Claudette is having a great time working with the OptTown team and is excited about introducing businesses and consumers to such an awesome mobile app!

As an intern Sales Representative, Keon Aminzadeh is responsible for adding new businesses and customers to the OptTown network.

Keon is a senior at Santa Clara University studying economics as his major and physics as his minor. Prior to OptTown, Keon worked in the Management Development Department at SCU as a member of the PR team and at SCU's Leavey School of Business as a Peer Advisor. He also was a teacher at MyGym Childrens Fitness Center.

Jake is a Sales Representative responsible for signing up businesses to the OptTown network and recruiting consumers to use the OptTown app.

Jake is in his senior year at Santa Clara University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in English/ Economics. He has held numerous positions including: amodel, a coach, a teacher, a caterer/bartender, a salesman and a personal shopper at companies including Ford Models, Stars Models Management, Jake's Jugglers Soccer Camps, Alma Verde Community Center and J Crew. Jake is an accomplished soccer player and active athlete with an interest in cars, clothes, film photography, movies, networking, modeling, poetry and painting.

As an intern Sales Rep, Nick Camilleri is responsible for adding new businesses and customers to the OptTown network.

As a senior at Santa Clara University, Nick has been an active member in many campus leadership positions. Serving two years as an orientation leader, a year on the University's Student Life Policy Committee and another as a Community Councilman, he has developed a passion for helping people transition into new communities.

Combining his congenial disposition with an enthusiasm for ambitious purposes, Nick looks forward to helping OptTown businesses and consumers in their transition to the future of custom concierge services and permissions marketing.

Corey is a Sales Representative actively signing on businesses to OptTown and growing the number of consumers using the OptTown app.

Corey is a Santa Clara University senior with a Finance major, and Entrepreneurship minor. He was a Finance intern at Specialize Bicycles, a summer intern at The Haskell Company and is also a Lounge Runner at Myth Taverna and Lounge in downtown San Jose, California.

Carol is the Account Manager for all of the South Bay businesses, providing full-service support including ensuring their messages are current and compelling and their employees are knowledgeable about OptTown.

Graduate of Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree in Marketing, Carol has a passion for sales and the tech industry along with a rich and diverse set of experience. In the recent past, Carol worked at Google as a Data Analyst. Prior to that she held Marketing, Sales and Accounting positions including roles as a Marketing Intern at KNTV NBC Bay Area and as a Sales Associate at Boots Retail, where she exceeded monthly sales quotas and built long-term relationships with clients by providing quality service.

Carol graduated from Saratoga High School and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Spanglish and social media. She likes The Naked and the Famous, Jacks Mannequin, and Nicki Minaj.. Her appreciation of literature, film and television is eclectic: "Catcher in the Rye", "Lessons of a Lipstick Queen", "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "My Neighbor Tororo", "Friends", "The Office", "The Simpsons" and she's a Giant's fan of Tim Lincecum and Brian Wilson, and a tennis fan of Gael Monfils and Pete Sampras.

Private investor, board director, advisor and serial CEO experienced in public and private companies anchored in technology and the convergence of digital with traditional marketing and at various stages of company lifecycles. Current Boards include OptTown, Vivox, Zumobi, Pontiflex, Networked Insights, Omnilync and Modiv Media.

Paul brings more than 28 years of sales, marketing and executive management experience as well as a deep expertise in technology, digital and mobile marketing industries.

Paul’s portfolio of Board services help CEO’s and investors leverage his operational experience and network to assist in board and / or management alignment, business development expansion, M&A strategy and execution along with many other large and small challenges faced by CEO’s everyday.

Past: Board Director at Constant Contact, Board Director at iCrossing, CEO at Tira Wireless, CEO at Performaworks (acquired by Workscape), CEO at Engage, Inc., Corporate Director at CMGI and VP at Open Market.

Max is a Sales Representative responsible for bringing San Jose area businesses and consumers on to the OptTown network.

A recent graduate of San Jose State University, Max majored in Communication Studies. He has held sales positions with Jamba Juice as a sales manager, KNTV NBC Bay Area as a sales intern, Select Furniture Outlet as a sales manager, and at Target as a Sales Floor and Guest Service Team Leader. Most recently, Max was the Public Relations Manager and Tennis Professional at EFTA.

Max is well versed and quite active with social media including Instragram, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Klout and Blogger. He's kind of a movies buff, likes TV (The Simpsons, The Office, American Dad...), music (The Naked and the Famous, Jacks Mannequin, The Beatles, The Killers and Calvin Harris), books and much more.

As President and CEO, Tom sets the vision and direction for OptTown.

With a background in Sales and a maniacal focus on customer satisfaction, Tom has successfully lead four companies – completing an IPO with one start-up, selling two companies, and turning around another that is on its way to profitability.

Prior to leading companies, Tom’s roles have included General Manager, Vice President, and Sales Manager.

As Content Manager and Sales Representative at UC Davis, Josh directs businesses from the sales process through maintaining their OptTown customer experience.

Josh has held past positions in multiple environments; whether it be huge retail locations like Starbucks and Vans, to big tech companies like Sony Electronics, he maintains an optimistic and eager attitude in any workplace, especially OptTown! This is his first start-up and he's absolutely loving the culture and diversity it has to offer.

Approaching his third year at UC Davis, Josh is having a blast getting to know the local businesses in the small college town and is excited to introduce OptTown to all his friends and fellow students!

Arya is a Sale Representative for the Davis region and is responsible for adding businesses and consumers to the OptTown network.

Arya is in his senior year at UC Davis. He will graduate with a BS in Psychology with a Biology emphasis. He has worked in a variety of positions including being a member of the stage crew at the Mondavi Center, a Tour Guide at Sorrento Apartments, and a Sales Associate at Radioshack. Arya spent many years performing theater and mastering the art of acting, including performing and directing at a state-wide Shakespeare festival. He played volleyball and achieved awards for Most Improved, Most Valuable Player and Team Captain. Watch for Arya zipping around Davis on his long board.

Tuan is a Davis area Sales Representative bringing businesses and consumers to the OptTown network.

As a UC Davis junior, Tuan is majoring in Biological Science with a Bio Engineering emphasis. He was an intern at Rite-Aid Pharmacy, a lead instructor at the Conservatory of Vocal and Instrumental Arts (COVA) Charter School in Oakland and a lead instructor at the Elite Kicks Tae Kwon Do Academy in Alameda. Tuan has achieved the rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

As Vice President, Carolyn wears many hats, with early-stage focus on marketing, training, account management and whatever needs attention.

As an IT industry executive, Carolyn co-founded two companies and has been recognized as a pioneer for her seminal work in establishing the IT certification concept, business model and infrastructure that spawned the multi-billion dollar IT certification industry.

Previous roles include Senior Vice President, General Manager, Vice President, and Manager.

Companies: iGeneration, Integral7 (acquired by Pearson/VUE), Microsoft (consultant), Novell, RedSeal Networks and Schlumberger Technologies.

As CTO and VP Engineering, Bill leads the technical team and implements the OptTown technology solutions.

Bill has founded and/or been a senior executive at six successful software companies, each first and a leader in their space. Five were acquired by companies including Oracle, Avaya and Alcatel for a total of $500m. He has 12 patents to his credit.

Bill is a board member or advisor of several high-quality companies and is a mentor in a number of programs including 20 Under 20, Founders Institute, Mexican.vc, Startup Monthly and Hackers and Founders. He is an occasional speaker on technology and entrepreneurial topics.

As Senior Developer, Praveen is responsible for building the OptTown mobile solutions.

Praveen is a renaissance chap & programming geek, with strong experience in development and engineering of several web, desktop & mobile products. His success is rooted in his technology enthusiasm, analytical skills and ability to carve ideas into real world solution.

Previous roles include Software engineer and Team Lead.

As a Marketing Communications intern, Jackie helps in the design of the OptTown website, app icons and screens, collateral materials and much more. She joined OptTown and worked remotely while studying Spanish and art abroad in Madrid and Alicante, Spain. Jackie relocated to Santa Clara for the summer where she also assisted in account management activities. During the school term she continues contributing her design expertise.

Jackie is a senior at Cal Poly majoring in Graphic Communication with a Spanish minor. Previously she held web and graphics designer summer-term positions at Jayne Wayne Designs, ktots.com and Spracher Engineering. Jackie was also a gymnastics coach at Performance Athletic where she taught gymnastics to children of all ages.

Bianca was previously an OptTown Account Manager. With experience as a merchandiser selling jewelry, and staff member of Santa Clara's Orientation team, Bianca utilized her sales and communication skills to bring awareness of how OptTown is a beneficial and exciting network. She helped bring businesses and consumers to the network and loved seeing the OptTown community grow.

Currently, Bianca is interning at PVH Corp. with the sales team of the neckwear division. She will return to Santa Clara University this fall for her Senior year.

Ryan is a former OptTown Sales Rep where he was responsible for bringing businesses and consumers in the San Jose State University area onto the OptTown network.

Ryan is a Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship major at San Jose State University. He is an avid badminton player and parleyed this passion into jobs at Z Badminton Training Facility, Racket Ace, Smash City, Inc. as coach or lead staff member.

As an intern Sales Representative, Alyssa Bernauer spent the summer in Davis adding new businesses and customers to the OptTown network. Back to school at SCU, Alyssa is focusing on growing the number of customers using the OptTown app.

A sophomore at SCU, Alyssa is majoring in Business within the Leavey School of Business. Alyssa is the Co-Founder and President of the Business Mentoring Association, a business club on the SCU campus. She is part of the Dean's Leadership Program within the Leavey School of Business.

Melissa was OptTown's first Account (Content) Manager. She recently graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in Communication and minors in Spanish and Religious Studies. She is incredibly thankful for her time at OptTown and the opportunity to develop partnerships with local Santa Clara and San Jose merchants, especially the ones she would frequent all the time at school. It was a joy for her to watch them learn about the advantages of OptTown and to see them establish and develop relationships with their customers in a way that hasn't been done before.

In her time at Santa Clara, she was an orientation leader and a community facilitator (resident assistant), and held leadership positions that allowed her to lead and engage with the community around her. Melissa is now working as a Technical Sourcer for Palantir Technologies, a company building software platforms to empower organizations to manage their data and solve major problems.

Ryan was in the first group of student interns serving as a Sales Representative, selling to Santa Clara area businesses and introducing consumers to the OptTown app.

Ryan graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Double Majoring in Political Science and History. While at SCU, he was a Senior Orientation Leader in the Office of New Student Programs, an Emergency Medical Technician, and held the elected position of Finance Officer in Emergency Medical Services. After graduating from SCU, Ryan took a managerial position with Target.
